Recommended use or purpose:

Dandelion is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help treat digestive disturbances. Dandelion is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help increase bile flow. Dandelion is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help stimulate appetite. Buckthorn is used in Herbal Medicine for the short-term relief of occasional constipation.

Cautions and Warnings 

Use cautiously in patients with digestive disorders, stomach inflammation, or irritable bowel syndrome. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. If an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients happens, discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner. Use cautiously in patients with diabetes, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, those taking blood pressure-lowering medication, or rectal bleeding. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms, and/or diarrhoea. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing.

Contra-Indications 

Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance or if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea. DO not use if you have liver or gall bladder disorders, and/or bowel obstruction. Discontinue use if you have developed symptoms of liver trouble. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance or if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever.

Known Adverse Reactions 

Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heartbeat and/or difficulty breathing. Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use.
