Vitamin supplement, mineral supplement, vitamin/mineral supplement, multi-vitamin, multi-mineral or multi-vitamin/mineral. Folate helps to form red blood cells and helps prevent folate deficiency. Folate helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily at least three months prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy.
